Friction Loss Technologies LLC is a firefighter-owned and firefighter-operated mobile service based in Western Washington. We specialize in high-throughput testing of fire hoses, nozzles, appliances, and ground ladders — fully compliant with NFPA 1962 and NFPA 1932 standards.

Founded by career firefighters, FLT was created to provide a local, faster, and more reliable solution for departments across the region. Many agencies rely on out-of-state vendors for required testing, resulting in delayed timelines, higher costs, and extended apparatus downtime. FLT is the local answer: fast, professional, and built to serve the communities we live and work in.

Our state-of-the-art hose testing trailer can process over 3,000 feet of hose in under 45 minutes, helping departments maintain operational readiness with minimal disruption. By reducing out-of-service time, we get rigs back where they belong — serving their communities.

Each test includes digital compliance reports for easy recordkeeping and inspection readiness. As FLT grows, we plan to expand our services into inventory management and equipment tagging consultations, giving departments even more tools to streamline accountability and readiness.
